The annual FinBioNet (Finnish Graduate School Network in Life Sciences) symposium this year is titled “Revolutionary Bioscience” and will include presentations by invited speakers from Finland and abroad in regenerative medicine, personalized medicine, nutrigenomics and functional food, and active ageing illustrating current topics, recent discoveries, technological achievements and also discussions from ethical aspects. In addition, the symposium allows young scientists to share their own research and consider career development and employment. This year, the symposium is organized by the students of Tampere Graduate Program in Biomedicine and Biotechnology (TGPBB), a graduate program jointly administered by Institute of Biomedical Technology (IBT) and the School of Medicine, University of Tampere, Finland. The symposium is supported by the FinBioNet, a national network of doctoral training in biosciences and health sciences, uniting more than 1000 Ph.D. students.

The symposium will take place in Tampere Hall in Tampere, Finland. Tampere is the largest inland city in the Nordic countries within easy reach from Helsinki international airport by air (35 minutes) or by train (less than two hours). Tampere Hall, the Scandinavia’s largest Congress and Concert Centre, is located in the city center near the railway station.
